The image is the no.8 of "ukiyo-e" print series titled "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji". Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (?????? Fugaku Sanjurokkei?) is a series of landscape prints created by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai (1760-1849). The series depicts Mount Fuji from different locations and in various seasons and weather conditions. The original thirty-six prints were so popular that Hokusai expanded the series by ten. "Ukiyo-e" or "???" is a genre of woodblock prints and paintings that flourished in Japan from the 17th through 19th centuries. "Ukiyo-e" or "???" had been manufactured through a collaborative system (the hanmoto system) where the artist, carver, printer, and publisher engaged in division of labor. This image's English title is "Cushion Pine at Aoyama" . The Japanese title is "?????" or "Aoyama enza-no-matsu".
