The image is the no.42 of "ukiyo-e" print series titled "Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji". Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (?????? Fugaku Sanjurokkei) is a series of landscape prints created by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai (1760?1849). The series depicts Mount Fuji from different locations and in various seasons and weather conditions. The original thirty-six prints were so popular that Hokusai expanded the series by ten. "Ukiyo-e" or "???" is a genre of woodblock prints and paintings that flourished in Japan from the 17th through 19th centuries. "Ukiyo-e" or "???" had been manufactured through a collaborative system (the hanmoto system) where the artist, carver, printer, and publisher engaged in division of labor. This image's English title is "Mount Fuji reflects in Lake Kawaguchi, seen from the Misaka Pass in Kai Province " . The Japanese title is "??????" or "Koshu Misaka suimen ".
